We are currently in the process of establishing a paddock paradise (Jaime Jackson's method of keeping horses in a track system as opposed to an open paddock system).

Our two hectare plot was previously used, years ago, for keeping horses in a traditional paddock setup. Since then the paddocks have been overgrown with weeds and the untreated wooden structures have deteriorated badly.

So: we'll be updating the Construction page as we make steps towards our perfect equine park.

Traditionally horses have been treated badly and utilized for their abilities instead of appreciated properly. We believe horses can and should be trained and kept without violence, pain and minimal force. See the Training pages to follow our process as we learn more about training our horses ethically and scientifically. We'll also have articles on the benefits of keeping horses barefoot, and the better options in shoeing horses than the traditional iron shoes. We also don't see the need in riding horses with a bit in the mouth and future articles will investigate the options and implications.

We hope to create a sanctuary for our and a select few other horses to live happily and perform well. In the future we might offer livery, trail and training services; but right now we will focus on getting the basics right with our own horses.

We are situated in a valley with varying surrounds, lots of mountains, fields, streams, forests and vineyards to provide excellent training scenarios for endurance and trail horses; and great fun for riders.

We keep our horses happy, and they return the favour.
